Larita Academy Class of 2024 Alumni Launch
Following a successful academy earlier this year for the Class of 2024, the feedback from our graduates was clear: they were eager for the journey of learning and growth to continue.
In response, Larita Academy took two significant steps.
Firstly, we were delighted to appoint a new program coordinator—myself, Sam with a dedicated focus on building the Larita Academy Alumni program. Secondly, we hosted Alumni program launch event that reunited our graduates with their coaches, support crew, and partner youth organisations. This inaugural event was not just a celebration of past achievements but a pivotal step forward in fostering connections and support among our community.
The event began with a heartfelt welcome from our esteemed founders, Anita Pahor and Larry Kestelman, setting a tone of inspiration and connection for the evening. Anita then hosted an insightful Q&A session with three distinguished alumni, Oscary Yu, Mahat Ibrahim and myself. We each shared the impact on our lives post-academy and actions we have taken, with a common theme around securing meaningful employment, mastering time management, and the importance of ongoing personal and professional development.
Following the Q&A, I had the privilege of addressing the gathering with a brief speech about the vision and aspirations of the Larita Academy Alumni program. This set the stage for the highlight of the evening: a dynamic speed networking session. Each coach was paired with a graduate for ten minutes, fostering an atmosphere fueled with enthusiasm and a touch of nervous anticipation.
This exercise was designed to support graduates in developing their professional networking and rapport building skills.The evening concluded in a memorable ceremony where each graduate was honored with their Larita Academy certificate, personally presented by our founders. The room was abuzz with excitement, love, and laughter, clearly illustrating the profound impact Larita Academy has on our community.
This first alumni event not only enriched but also validated our collective efforts. As we forge ahead, committed to delivering true value to every member of our community, we are reminded of the strength and potential of our growing community. This event has set a precedent for the future, promising continued growth and deeper connections among our alumni.
