The Larita Academy Class of 2025 has shown what’s possible when young people are given real opportunities, genuine support, and a chance to believe in themselves.

This year, 52 young people from 7 youth partners, aged 15 to 24 completed Larita’s intensive Academy program, representing 18 nationalities, including First Nations graduates.

Over four days, the Class of ’25 moved from quiet introductions to deep conversations, from solo thinking to shared ideas. They began to explore what’s possible for their futures and started building the confidence, clarity, and connections to take those next steps.

The results speak for themselves.

• 96% would recommend Larita to other young people

• 91% said Larita had a positive impact on their life

• 91% left with greater knowledge and understanding of different work opportunities

Larita is designed to be practical, challenging, and real.

When 97% of our graduates say they now feel more confident in professional settings, and 91% say they better understand how education and training can open up opportunities, it tells us we’re on the right track.

Our 33 coaches were a vital part of that journey. Leading CEOs and industry leaders their experiences and insights openly to help young people build confidence, perspective, and a sense of what is possible.

But we know the broader picture is still tough.

• As of August 2024, the youth unemployment rate in Australia was 9.8%, more than double the national average (ABS, 2024).

• Around 1 in 10 young Australians are not in education, employment, or training (AIHW, 2021).

That’s why Larita exists: to help bridge the gap and back young people at risk in building a future they can be proud of.

Our goal is to support young people to walk into professional spaces, navigate employment pathways, and feel like they belong there. That they can introduce themselves, share an idea, apply for a role, and believe they have something to offer.

Beyond the numbers, the impact of Larita is best captured through the voices of its graduates.

As Larita Academy looks ahead to 2026, the focus remains clear: sparking entrepreneurial spirit, creating meaningful connections, and continuing to equip more young people with the skills and confidence to thrive
