Celebrating Wardah, Class of 2026 Student of the Year

Wardah’s pathway into Larita Academy was anything but conventional. She used initiative and determination to land a scholarship, and once she secured her place she made the most of the opportunity.
From the very start of the application process, Wardah displayed something we speak about often at Larita Academy. When you have a goal, sometimes you need to “hustle” for it, back yourself, stay resourceful and create opportunities where others might not see them yet.
Across all four days, Wardah showed up with energy, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. She engaged in every module and elective, asked thoughtful questions and built relationships with those around her.
“I learned to back myself by trusting my voice and not second-guessing my abilities. I also learned that genuine connections come from being open and present, and I’ll use that by putting myself out there more and building meaningful relationships.” - Wardah
Special thanks to South East Community Links, and to the team at Yarra City Council for supporting Wardah.
Congratulations Wardah on being named our 2026 Student of the Year!
