A Launch Pad to Employment in 7 Days

Next Wednesday, Larita Academy graduates will come together with employers and youth organisations for the 2026 Larita Launch Employment Program Careers Day, hosted by our Founder Anita Pahor and Co-Founder Larry Kestelman.
With seven days to go, the focus is simple: helping graduates build their job readiness, connect directly with employers and explore real employment opportunities.
Graduates from across four years of Larita Academy will take part in employment readiness training before meeting employers and having the chance to talk about their strengths, experience and what they can bring to a workplace.
Employers attending include LK Group businesses Brand Collective and Daniel’s Donuts, with real roles and opportunities to discuss. Youth organisations will also be there to provide the wraparound employment support that can help young people take that next step into work and continue building from there.
Access remains one of the gaps we are working to close. ABS data shows the youth unemployment rate was 10.7% in June 2026, compared with the national unemployment rate of 4.4%.
Our pilot Careers Day in 2025 showed what can happen when graduates, employers and support organisations are brought together in the right environment, with 85% of attendees securing a role.
We’re looking forward to bringing everyone together again and helping more Larita graduates take their next step towards employment.
