"I’m pleased to partner with Larita Academy because walking alongside our young people is vital. Larita’s high-energy focus on building self-agency through community, aligns with everything we do at Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS), and I’m excited for the opportunity to support young people’s dreams to truly take flight."
Annie joined Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) at the beginning of 2018 and is currently the Alumni Transition Manager, supporting all Alumni and particularly Year 12s in their post-schooling career or further education pathways.
Annie graduated from Lincoln Institute with a Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology), and prior to MITS worked as a Speech Pathologist in various education and health settings in Victoria. Annie is an honorary Fellow of the University of Melbourne, in recognition of her work providing clinical placements for under-graduate Speech Pathologists.
In 2016 and 2017 Annie worked as a Speech Pathologist at Jigalong Remote Community School in the Pilbara in Western Australia - a life changing experience, ultimately leading her to MITS.
Throughout her career Annie has seen the power of education to create opportunity alongside the importance of relationships, connection and systemic change.
