Angela is currently the Manager of the Family, Youth and Children’s Services department at Yarra City Council. The department provides services and programs, and plans for, advocates, and partners with others so that children, young people and their families experience integrated and seamless services through the life stages from birth to 25 years.

With a keen interest in, and passion for systems change and strategic policy reform to improve outcomes for children, and after a short period working in community-based projects and research, Angela has now worked in local government for over 16 years. Her work with children, young people and their families has always been centred within community and connection to place.

Angela is a qualified early childhood teacher and holds a Master of Education (Early Childhood). She has recently completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Education where her thesis is examined the development of early childhood policy in Victorian local government.
